That low mile Hemi Cuda's owner must have dropped dead. I'm sure he's been offered double or triple over what it sold for over the years.

Agree some people have got some real nice cars so far for less than restoration costs [/ QUOTE ] I think thats due in part to the fact that people do full blown restos on average cars, and they never recoup thier resto costs. If a car isnt worth 150K or so, there is no financial reason to do a concourse resto on it.. Its kind of like building a mansion in a bad section of town..you arent going to get your building costs back. |

[/ QUOTE ] Quick Bowtie owned this car about a year ago and i thought he sold it for more than that then and it traded hands a few times after that. When i saw it hit the block i thought it would bring 1 million. That guy must be bummin! |

I believe the announcers stated that the silver LS-6 had "papers". That's why I was surprised at the final price. I do agree that we can't see the condition of these cars. But help me here if you can. I was of the opinion that the cars that came across the block @ BJ were predominantly high level restorations ( if non-survivor class ). So, what explains the two LS-6 car prices? Bad resto's, bad or missing paper work? Again, if BJ is to represent the best of the best, how did 2nd class cars get in the auction [/ QUOTE ] When someone says it has "papers", that can mean it has a title, an owners manual, a fake buildsheet, a buildsheet with the corner vin ripped off, or anything of the sort. I dont know what the Ls6 Black convert did or will do as i havent seen it go thru , but whatever it brings [column auto with a buildsheet missing a VIN],i wont consider that the market for a 4 speed car with a vin'd buildsheet. Thats what im trying to say. Nor will i take the 1.3M sale last year of the Briggs car to mean market price either. Lastly dont ever assume all the cars at BJ are quality cars. Rather the majority of quaility documented cars are usually tucked in at home in someones gartage when BJ is going on. |

[/ QUOTE ] I agree...looks like a lot of the cars that did not bring big money in years past are coming up ...Boss 9 as an example...beauty just went thru...
