Neat find Joe, School District is lucky its summer or they would have to had a sub today and most likely Monday to fill in for you since you would still be looking over all the stuff you picked up

I've got to ask, whose telegram is that asking for $5,000 because they are in jail? It's amazing that stuff like this has survived.

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure... I have a few sources that would most likely know, and I plan to talk to them and review some of these things with them to get more insight in regards to what it all means... All I can say with certainty is that it had to be someone close to Don, not only to ask for 5 grand, which would have been a very large sum of cash in 1971, but also that he kept the original Western Union telegram in his files for all those years after. If only this stuff could talk!

The Corvette on the left is Don's 1963 Corvette Z06 driven by John Bushell. I know the man who owns it and its in resto as we speak...

Nice score Joe!
