RATPACK,

I DON'T THINK THAT THERE WERE TWO AWARDS CEREMONIES, BUT AT
THE ONE THAT I WAS AT, MY SON'S CAR CLEARLY GOT SECOND PLACE IN THE SUPERCAR CLASS. THERE WAS NO CONTRIVERSY AT ALL. THE SILVER COPO BODY WAS NEVER JUDGED.... IT NEVER LEFT THE SPOT THAT WAS PUT IN TO GO THROUGH THE JUDGING LANES, AND THE JUDGES NEVER CAME OVER TO LOOK AT IT FOR THE PURPOSE OF JUDGING IT. SO HOW COULD IT PLACE ???? I REGISTERED MY SON'S CAR, AND IT WAS ALWAYS IN THE SUPERCAR CLASS. GET YOUR STORY STRAIGHT. I WAS THERE FROM FRIDAY THRU SUNDAY AFTERNOON, WITH THE CARS, AND WITNESSED WHAT WENT ON.

P.S. THE RESTORATION WAS MORE THAN $60K

Frank, I had friends at that show and they all say when the awards were given out the COPO body was 2nd and then the crap hit the fan. They thought that was an injustice to the owner of the Yenko. I do not know if they fixed the problem at the show or after but your car did get a $15 award for a $60k restoration. From what I understand from a friend of mine that came up from TN was an entrant at that show, your car was in the Vintage Race Car category when he looked at it or something like that and got moved into the Supercar category sometime after judging ended. So to me the COPO body DID beat the Yenko like they announced at the awards presentation. This post will probably get deleted like my other one did earlier because it doesn't stroke everyone the same but I don't care. Nothing against your car as freinds of mine that were there said it was a nice restoration and they thought you got beat just like the Yellow L89 that didn't win. But my point is that just because a Yenko shows up at a show, no matter who's it is, it does not automatically qualify for an award. Supercar kid said it the best,

Well... let me set this straight once and for all. I am the OWNER of the silver copo car that was in the middle of a resoration. I DID NOT enter the car to be judged, we simply brought the car to the show to show the progress of the restoration. I brought it there for the people to get a closer look at what really goes on in a full restoration. So please get your facts stright next time you make a statement about something that you dont even know about.. you WERNT EVEN THERE, your FRIENDS were.. so maybe you should ask them again.

I was there with Frank and his son and they CLEARLY won.. my car was NOT even registered for judging. So please next time.. go to the show and see for yourself before you come online and start rambling on about something you have no clue about.

Good Day,

Fran

We have not touched your post but feel free to do your posting elsewhere since you seem sure we are the Gestapo. This is kinda like the guy that is sure we are against him since he is too stupid to figure out how to login.

You know Marlin I just had a look and Ratpack...you did delete a post at 930 this morning...what the hell is going on here ? Sounds like Vettefest all over again....don't accuse one of us of deleting a post . In hindsight I bet you wish we HAD deleted it since it makes you look like you don't know what the heck you are talking about...that water must be getting heavy !

Fran, this post started off from some guy complaining about a real Yenko getting beat by a clone and I only elaborated about how politics can come into play at shows. My freinds don't lie, and neither do other people that I have discussed this with in length that have nothing to do with Frank, Joe, or B.W. Whether it was judged or not, there wer more people than just my freinds that heard the COPO body was the second place car and the crowd didn't like it. Like you said I was not there and it is heresay and I do not know what was said and I don't care. What it comes down to is this, to win an award you better be on your best game or you will get beat no matter what you own. Case proven here. The best car won which was the Olympic Gold car and maybe when you enter your car to be judged it will win.

Frank, get over it. You are beating a dead horse. We can sit all day and go over it a million times "he said: they said", I am not playing that game.

Charlie, my post was deleted this morning when I looked to see if there were any replies and then it showed back up sometime after 9:00 this morning. I never said you were the Gestapo as that would be considered by some as a terroist threat. There are posts of mine that are missing from the discussion of the Copper & white striped Baldwin/Motion 1973 Camaro that was recently found. (the link to that is listed below) The deleted posts were comments I made about Joel Rosen no longer verifying cars when I called him about one that I had found. Tom even replied to my posts and said that Joel was still doing them but I know what I was told when Joel answered the phone. Tom's posts have even been edited/deleted also pertaining to mine.

I know that there are some members/moderators/owners of this site and other sites that I subscribe to that do not get along and that is fine with me. I try not to participate in the childish antics that go on between the sites because it does no good. However, when a post is deleted just because the truth is told and the forum/site moderator does not like to be told the truth then that is censorship to its fullest degree. To me they do have the right to remove a post only when it involves a discussion(s) that are turning slanderous or into something that is not relavent to the hobby. I support all of the sites the same whether they like each other or not. Ok I am off of my soapbox now so everyone can go back to doing whatever they like.........

That comment about not knowing how to log in is funny though .....I will give that one to you.........RatPack......................

Bob, the orginal post was deleted this moring when I looked at it at 9:00 Eastern Time. I received two phone calls telling me it was missing and they were correct. When I got back from the tire store it was there along with the bashing post of Frank. So I made a reply around 10:30 Easterm Time and then deleted it a few minutes later so I could re-word it so what does it matter? The original post is back up.................RatPack.............

The only difference in this post and a soap opera is we do not get any Emmy Nominations or awards for this ..............

RatPack:

I'm sitting here looking at the Admin log for the bulletin board...this latest one (there are 4 others saved) goes back to 03/31/05 05:55 PM...what they do is track every edited thread, deleted thread, moved thread, and virtually every other move on the board. And I can tell you with absolute certainty, that your *conspiracy theory* about anyone here deleting your posts is as absurd as you arguing about the happenings at an event with someone who was there and someone who owns the car involved, all while you're info is 2nd or 3rd hand...at best.
