It would be nice to see some documentation of cars selling at these prices. Some people in the hobby could over inflate actual selling prices, and then other buyers pay to much. But there are also the buyer who are willing to pay any price, even more than it's worth. To impress others for bragging rights. The market prices have jumped, from straight 6 cars,to super cars. Joe, you're right! I absolutely KNOW I've had Baker's name on the roll somewhere, and thought I listed it under Brian or Joe another year when Baker couldn't make it (or something like that)...but it's since vanished! If you can find out definitely it's years of attendance, I'll get it on there ASAP...

Selling prices are really nobodies business...it's between the seller and the buyer whether they choose to make that info public

Well, somebody thought that this Yenko was worth $186,702.09 which is still a pretty good price. Seems odd that the high bidders ID was kept private throughout the auction process.

[ QUOTE ]
Seems odd that the high bidders ID was kept private throughout the auction process. [/ QUOTE ] They are kept private so no one gets to be known as "the dummy who bid that Yenko up to 186K on eBay." You know that's what would happen if that information was made public. Even if someone laid down the 225K for that (gorgeous) Yenko, there'd be guys mumbling about how 225K is "too much for that car." It's just the way some people are. I think someone else on this forum called the critics "chair throwers." Bidders ID's are kept secret so that they don't get hit by a chair. If I had 225K in play money I'd be awfully tempted to jump on that RG Yenko. LOOKOUT!!! Man, that chair just missed knocking my head off! Just kidding around a bit fellas. ![]() |

Somewhere there was a nitpicker babbling about the tape on the cowl seal. I went upstairs in my barn and found 5 cowl seals. Four are orig. and have the tape and one is repo and has no tape.

Charley...do you have any NOS 4x4 springs that seems to be the rage on some of these restorations where the car is a foot higher than it's supposed to be ? The RG car was done RIGHT !!!
