Wow. I have never said anything like this:
"Turns out there had been almost no maintenance do on the [fill in the blank] for years." I bet you are the only guy on this site who has ever bought a car and discovered it needed some maintenance. Am I right? BTW, not even in the same league, but my "cheap" Yukon XL Denali I bought for a winter beater just required a transmission. Something "got into" the pump just driving down the road and the tranny quit. Gilda was right: "It's always something." What a cool car Charley. I can see why you want everything right.

Wow! That’s an amazing build! Looks like it may have needed…everything? Lots of polish and chrome on that thing. Simply gorgeous!!!

Steve’s Auto Restoration had a booth at the show today and I asked about your car. They said they were very excited to have it back in the shop and really appreciate the opportunity to bring it back to its former glory + some improvements they’ve learned or gotten access to since building it. Nice guys, and their work is always so good.

It will be ready for the show only circuit next year...
![]() I HOPE the bolts and used nylock nuts on the control arms in the last pic aren't tightened yet, because the nylon isn't doing anything to prevent the nuts from backing out. Being used is not good either...
