Very cool hearing anecdotes like that Don, and I thank you for that.

Nice move. I like where you are going. Those are very spunky gutsy motors!!!

Great buy on the car and engine.

How years was it, before GM had a higher performance sbc in a production car?

I remember looking at low mile '69 Z's in the '70's, with 1970 LT1 replacements. I would have done the same, with either rebuilding the original 302, or buying a crate LT1.

Looks like this one will be getting a set of Cragar's thanks to Sam Scardino. I'm thinking 8's and 4's will look good on this car.

Will look real good Graeme. That is the set up I ran on my 69 SS nova back in 1970. Cragar's never go out of style.

No stock ride height on this car. Not for now anyways. I've got low profile tires for it if needed and also have shorter slicks as well. Wheel lips are already rolled, diff is centered and it has 275's tucked in it right now with no issues. Not really too concerned as I have a few sets of wheels and tires to play with and will find something to fit the rears. Thanks for the numbers in either case.

I'm running Cragar 15x4 fronts and 15x8 rears with custom offset with 4.75 BS with 275 drag radials. The car has stock multileaf springs diff is centered and have no issues. I took the upper shock shaft cover off it would rub.

Another picture that Gary sent me. From the 90's with the Welds on it.

Default Day II Deuce

Don here again. The custom black pinstriping and fogging was painted by another friend of mine, Ron Badiu, back in the early 70's. Ronnie Jr. has his own body shop here in Litchfield, Ohio.
