They made 4475 LS6-equipped vehicles. The answer is go buy another one if you want one to drive. Not like they are hard to find. You wouldn't sit down with a mint condition, first edition of a Hemingway novel worth tens of thousands of dollars eating a peanut butter sandwich and drinking coffee. Your local bookstore has a dozen copies of the less valuable, readable version on its shelves for that purpose.

If everyone drove theirs then there wouldn't be one's like this to piss off those who think it should be decades later. The collective discipline of the current and former owners to keep the miles as low as possible is commendable. It also makes it more valuable as mentioned the woods are full of em. To each his own, we are just caretakers of them really

There's an editorial in the new Hemmings Muscle Machines about the guys who trash other people's cars under the auspices of being "all-knowing" as to how a car should be. (I believe the Internet has made this problem worse.) So yes, let's leave the few rarities such as this car alone so that there will continue to be a reference point for future restorers and enthusiasts.

Wow, lots of thoughts on this car! Personally, I'm in the "Don't drive it" category. After seeing this car in person, I believe it's evolved beyond a car.. it's more of a historical relic that could never be "un-driven." As many pointed out, there are thousands of other LS6 cars to drive. But it does kinda suck for this one to be the car who had to watch life from the sidelines. Super cool, none the less. I'm just glad I had the chance to spend some time with it!
