One of my favorite features on these '64 Hemi cars is the factory installed Magnesium 5-spoke Americans. Yeah "FACTORY INSTALLED!" How cool is that? These are my all-time favorite wheels and I've turned down some SERIOUS money for the set on the front of my '62 Biscayne.

Thanks for the extra photos, Mr. Cumby! I like the close-up shots of the modified grille to accomodate only two headlights instead of the usual four! We will never see factory-offered race cars like this ever again.

Suffice to say this is one of the neatest cars ever built and I have waited many months to finally see it in person since hearing the "rumor". I was not disapointed as it was everything I expected and more. Brian was gracious enough to spend many minutes giving me not only the history of this car but the history of "these" cars and in the mean time I learned a LOT of things I did not know about them. One of my friends restored one of these same type of cars when we were going to Dunwoody Industrial Institute back in 1981 and I now have to find him and put Brian in touch with him. He also owns one of the very few Hemi cuttaway motors. He is from Minneapolis and his first name is Steve but I cannot remember his last in case anyone knows of him. Same color combination if I recall. Anyway, thanks for bringing the car Brian. As you can see it was well received and is a MUST SHOW in Chicago this November. We especially loved the sounds you made when you were putting the car into the trailer!

Brian, I'd love to know what the front and rear tires are on that Hemi. (VERY COOL car by the way) Exceptional preservation of history.
Thanks
Verne

http://www.hurstracingtires.com/1093440.html Verne, I'm pretty sure those are Hurst Racing Tires, front and rear. They are re-caps made and sold by the link I posted here. I do like those front tires with the ribs spaced out and I'm gonna buy a set of those soon for something here.
