The engine doesn't determine the car, but the option package.
The T-37 replaced the Tempest. The GT-37 was an option that brought some heavy duty stuff like on the GTO. Standard was the 350-2, but for 1971, options went up to the 455 HO. However, the same engine was available on the T-37, and many of the heavy duty stuff was too. It all depended on what kind of Q-ship one wanted.
