Whitetop,
The car was purchaesed from the original owner (James ...) by a freind of a freind.
He only had the car a month & wanted the Pro-Street Vega I was driving at the time.
Since I was looking for a little heavier car then, (the Vega was a Super Gas car I put on the street
& was so light that things broke at every pothole),
& he wanted to go racing, we swapped rolling chassis.

Not a knock on your pro street Vega, but............. you traded a Vega for a Baldwin Motion Camaro? What a bandit!

Back in 1976 I traded an Opel Rallye (not a GT, just a Rallye, you know, Gold with flat black hood and black stripes down the side) for a 1969 Z/28 that had only 26,000 miles on it. I had been "rode hard and put up wet" more than a few times, but still, in hindsight, I did all right, although, nothing like you. BTW, mine is also factory black.

Cool car.

Lynn

Thanks Lynn.

Neither of us knew what the Camaro was.
When I saw it for the first time, it was just a clean car.
There was nothing on the car to give away its origin.
No hood, stripes, spoilers, emblems .... nothing!

It wasn't 'til much later that I started playing with
it, that I found the invoice & started researching it.

He was happy 'cause he got a full chassis & tubbed Vega
with a Hemi crashbox done by Liberty. (wish I still had that!!!)
