There's an inner & outer metal screen, with foam between them. The outer screen appears to be chrome plated.

It depended on the manufacturer. Some were chrome, but most were a natural metal finish, as on mine. I have a few more pics of a few of them from old speed equipment catalogs that I will be forwarding to JoeG to post after he gets back from his hunting trip. Verne |

This came from a 1967 Edelbrock Equipment catalog. Note that the Stelling emblem is not present on the dome screen. Also note the clamp-together outter band, as was on mine. Verne. |
