Now this one is a rag, I think.
![]() [ QUOTE ] I felt the star of the performance-car Americans was a "purple-people-eater" '71 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda convertible. The judges agreed and owner Harold Sullivan of nearby Auburn Hills, Michigan , drove off with its class trophy. [/ QUOTE ] Do I add this one to the list? Some one has told me the orange one is a Canadian export, that sound right Charley? Since you've driven it, lucky guy. |

Hi Steve, the Hemi rags seem to be into the stratosphere. Don't count the RAIV Judge rags out, while not a Hemi, only 5 made in 69 & 17 in 70!

Watch out for the 440-6 packs, although i am partial to the 427 Chevy's. The 440-6's will turn some serious torque if you don't over rev them with the old style heavy rods.

[ QUOTE ] What's so special about a hemi convertible? ![]() [/ QUOTE ] Not much, that's why I sold mine. The car had no soul...and it would never run better than a 14.05 at 105 mph. Though I wouldn't mind having it back just to sell it for $2,000,001. ![]() [/ QUOTE ] Theirs a Hemi-Cuda hardtop running 12.0 flat at F.A.S.T. The car is in the "Certified Stock" class. Not F.A.S.T. Amazing what they can run when built and tuned right! That's plenty of soul for me! ![]() |
