Nice Typhoon you have there, GMC. I have it's twin. Less the wheels.

My other car.

Supercharged 383 stroker
A few others. The two on the right are gone. All three were daily drivers that turned into garage/cruise queens. I miss the 64 coupe. Numbers matching 327-365

My first car(s). In 1977 I saved my $$$ and bought a 69 Z11 pace car with the wrong motor, trans, etc: I had no clue at the time. I bought it when I was 14. My father was confused at the time due to the large number of children in our household. When we got the car home my mom says to him: "Honey you know his brother just turned 16, he's 14!" Dad looked at me like I was supposed to remind him which kid I was. The car next to it was a 1970 Plymouth Superbird with a 440 Magnum and automatic. My dad and I bought it based on the fact that someone was going to buy the Z11. Of course they didn't and I got "stuck" driving both cars to high school. He eventually sold both of them when I moved out to Colorado to go to Diesel repair school in 1980. I tracked down the current owner of the Z11. He's in CT and got a kick out of being called out of the blue by me. It's not everyday that the almost original owner of your car hunts you down to tell you about your car . The car in the foreground is my brother's 75 Monte Carlo. He sold his LA-built 1969 Daytona Yellow SS396 4 speed Camaro to buy that disco-clunker. What a dummy.

Of course I still have that fleece-lined denim vest and the 1979 Street Machine Nationals belt buckle. I think I can get some big bux for them on eBay. Let the bidding wars begin!

I love the Ty's, fellas! Those V6's deserve more credit than they EVER recieved. The Ty's/Sy's and GN's are among my list of cars that I am VERY leary of when I'm at the track...with those turbos you just never know!

GaryH: I've got a sickening story about a certain 327/365 'Vette my dad *used* to own...
