Marlin, I was implying that more and more of todays youths are going foreign. The interest seems not to be in older muscle cars.Maybe it is a cost factor or availability? I dunno? I would still rather see a non-original muscle car, than a original foreign buzzsaw! Here or on the moon

A very recent college grad i know is looking to buy a car. He is 24 and does not have many sporty options. Even being a on the deans list, working in his feild, and being a chemical engineer he can only get a loan on a newer car via a dealer. Even if he would like to buy a 69 Chevy convertible, he is unable to unless he pays cash.

Presently the choices are a slightly used Honda S2000 or a BMW M roadster. These cars will depreciate more than a classic chevy ever will and will end up costing much more over the period of the note. Regardless, the classic chevy looks to be out of the picture.

I beleive that to be the same problem with most of the youth of today. The only classic iron they can buy outright is in such shape that it does not lend itself to being a decent mode of transportation as it is.

Stephano, Motor Trend July Issue was alittle kinder to the Yenko Clone. "The faithful Yenko S/C replica may jump back 30 years in refinement, BUT its torque and thrills are formidable in any era. The 7.0-liter big block enabled the faux legend to match the Skyline'e 0-60-mph time and Dominate quarter-mile testing." The Yenko ran a better time in Motor Trends test--13.42 at 110.6 mph. Oh yea look on page 106 and you will see me (beige shirt) looking at the engine of a '67 Yenko Convertible??--at Barrett-Jackson the Arizona Auction. sorry guys,
i grew up muscle cars and i'll never get into ricers.
ricers stroke their 1.6 litre motors to like 2.0 litres.
i just dont understand their thinking. the closest I come to a 2 litre is a 2 litre bottle of pepsi. i have a domestic sport compact. its called a vega... 540 CID 780hp. 9.20's at 148. no bottle, turbo or anything fancy. (yet...) a 427 is little nowadays. 1.6 litre???
not me. remember the saying. "theres no replacment for displacement" he he... 1.6 litres? I cant figure that one out. maybe for my john deere.. nah.
