I was easily bored and changed cars like underwear. I started out with a '54 Chevy with a Corvette 327 with two fours, next was a '67 SS427 Impala, then a '69 SS427 Impala Convertible and graduated with a '69 Chevelle SS with a transplanted 427 and a low rise 2x4 set up. I haven't slowed down much in the last twenty years either.

When I finally bought my first car it was a 41 Plymouth with a Olds J2 Six pack motor.
Well needless to say my Dad had a fit. He made me sell the car . I never got to enjoy it . But he was right , I was planing to hit front street in Philly and my friends where egging me on too ,hehehe But Dad ???? I'm not going to race it .....Fingers are crossed ,lol

Joe;
Front Street, street racing central for Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs, was fun until the fire truck came and hosed down the street. They don't race there anymore, now it's Essington Ave. down by the airport, and Red Lion Road in the Northeast. My old P.O.S. couldn't keep up with most of them. I usually raced in a group of 4-6 cars wide on Roosevelt Boulevard, and legally raced at South Mountain Drags with my Uncle. I had to stop this stuff when the car started to twist apart, especially from hitting second gear to hard with the auto trans. It pulled the body/frame mount off, (makes a nice bang when they come back together),popped the 17x35 sunroof open, the weak roof caused the drivers door frame to slam into the windshield pillar, and the rust holes in the wheelwells allowed the tire smoke to fill the car so you could barely see the tailights of those damn Grand Nationals!! Fun times!

Speeking of Red Lion Rd (or is it REDLINE!) and all of those GN, does anyone know how "Mom" is doing? I haven't heard of a track rental this year!

I'm still in High School and I drive a 1998 Z/28 Camaro. Does that count? My friend that graduated last year drove a 2000 Mustang GT, there's one LT-1 Z/28(1995 or so) that's already roughed up, and a 1970 Malibu 350. Every now and then, Dad'll cough up the keys to his 2000 SS for me! Man, that's a cool car. BTW, this is my first post. I love the old muscle cars and hope to restore them professionaly when I grow up. Later, Dan
