We can hope. At least he won't hold the door open with an invite.

Wow . . . kinda just emailed a friend with a similar response. The overseas explanation is a cliche. Were people saying the same thing about COPO Pete's Camaro?

Let the cops do their job and let Steve deal with his loss in peace. </div></div>
If you're saying this to make someone feel better who might be reading this that's one thing, but if you really believe it... Wow. Cliche'? Do some reading or talk to some LEOs. Even a simple Google search will turn up countless articles. I do wish the owner all the best in all areas of his life, but that's not what's being discussed here.

I think Steve has better things to do than deal with some would-be Encyclopedia Browns.

There are countless articles because there are countless Grand Cherokees being sent in containers. But an old Mopar that rattles?

Perhaps &quot;cliche&quot; is not the right word - how about &quot;gossip?&quot;

I think Steve knows enough not to read about this on forums - strangers fantasizing about his current situation would get annoying to even the most thick-skinned NYer.

Can you be any more ignorant in your response? Please explain to me what a &quot;would-be Encyclopedia Browns&quot; is? This was just a discussion, not supposed to be anything personal though apparently you thick skinned New Yowka appear to have taken something personal. A lot guys don't &quot;fantasize&quot; about what happens to million dollar thefts (Mopar that rattles lol), they know what happens more often than not. Pull your head out of the sand. Grand Cherokees? That's funny. Ferraris, Lambos and a ton of Range Rovers etc are constantly being pulled out of conex boxes. Not gossip. Fact. I hope that's not what happened here and I hope this guy gets his car back in the same shape it left him...

I merely expressed an opinion. It doesn't give you the imperative to start a tussle. Gossip all you want if you wish - I'll remain on the sidelines watching the rest of you.

Away from politics? Always. Back to cars, please.

There are dozen things that &quot;could have&quot; helped. But that won't bring the car back. It was a crime of opportunity, wrong place, wrong time for Mr. Juliano.... I still hope that a solution similar to what happened with COPO Pete (RIP) is in the cards.
