As the car count increases, thus less time for tech, I think you are right, $$ and one's conscience (in regards to the rules) will dictate the future of the event.
I for one think they ought to go back to square one, where the cars need to be the way they would have come from the factory. IMO, does not get any more simple then that.

Thanks Sam. I actually qualified 3rd that day with that pass. It was my best attempt yet, at getting an E-body to hook up on bias ply tires with a 700 hp hemi. I was running 18psi in the rear tires and 50 psi up front.

Wow Steve ,11;00 got the hemi really cranking ;oh so close to a 10 second run.if this economy gets straightened out ,I should be able to make some of the events next year in the 68 396 nova.Chris teed

I watched the 74 455 trans am run yesterday at steele ala.
Very nice car. I think he was running mid to high 12s. I think a stick shift class should be added if the car count is high enough. Seems like the autos have a great big advantage. |

I spoke with him and we talked about the change he made from stick to automatic and the dyno numbers he put down saturday. Very nice guy and a very nice car.
