Looks great.

I see you posted a disassembly pic showing the broadcast sheet stuck to the inside of the fender. Were you able to read any of it?

It was so tar covered and torn that I can't see anything, but haven't tried to clean the tar off.

I remember a thread where someone removed the tar from a build sheet found on the floor of a Chevelle.

I was amazed it came out legible.

James Groome posted a good way to remove the tar from a build sheet with before & after pics. I will ping him to respond to this post.

There really is only a small section of the Broadcast sheet there, so after cleaning with Acrysol, I wouldn't expect much info, but I will eventually do it.

I don't have any before pictures any longer.
I will post some of the finished build sheet later.

I used fast lacquer thinner, believe it or not the thinner will not remove the "carbon copy" type of impact printing on the factory sheets.

I first did this back in 2001 and have done it countless times since.

The GTO Judge conv one I did was completely black from tar, I put it on a stack of paper towels then put a few paper towels over the top then set the whole stack on a piece of expanded metal thus acting as a grate, then poured the lacquer thinner through the stack. The paper towels absorbed the tar freed by the lacquer thinner. You will be amazed by how much tar you can remove. I used cheap fast lacquer thinner for gun cleaning you may be able to use acetone with the same results.

Here are some of the judge build sheet... keep in mind this sheet was completely tar stained, it looked like a thin piece of roofing tar paper paper.

I have not fond anything which will remove Rust stains, rust is also VERY acidic and will break the paper down quickly.
