That car didn't have any trim on it when I looked at it prior to Al buying/restoring it

As an FYI, the tag was never removed when I restored the car.

TW has a valid point, according to our TT research, if there is no single digit number from 1-3 after the 'A' on the bottom row of the TT - then there shouldn't be any moldings on the car. So, it went from 1 set short, to 1 set too many!

In reality, it's more work to remove the set that's on there, so it probably makes more sense to simply add the upper row and dress it up a bit. Rarely does someone poo-poo a Nova bec/ of a little gingerbread, it's when people short change the resto by not reinstalling the expensive moldings that a buyer looks elswhere.

Overall, how can you go wrong with fathom blue!

The 'A' is a separate code altogether, and does not relate to the exterior. The single letter code indicates the color of various interior items and/or interior paint color. The 'A' indicates black, 'B' is blue, 'S' is sandlewood, etc...

The single digit after the single letter indicates the number of exterior moldings that were installed on the car. Although there were 4 exterior moldings, the max installed on a given car is 3. We believe that the rocker moldings were not included in this single digit number, but we need more info for that conclusion. So for now the possible moldings would be drip rail, door frame, body side and rockers. The only required molding would be the drip rail when a v/t is on the TT.
