Nice car!!!!!!

I have a friend here in Houston that has a twin to it, but a 72. He found his in a garage here in Houston a few years back and was parked with about 6k miles when the son went to Vietnam. The son did not make it back and the car just sat. During hurricane Alicia in the 80's a tree fell into the garage roof and damaged the roof on the car. Joe fixed that and it is a time capsule like yours.

Best of luck with the sale. Beautiful car.

Are you referring to Joe Parish's drop-dead gorgeous Monarch Yellow '72 455HO Formula? If so, you have a couple of minor details mixed up on the car, but it is quite a car. It's a 36K mile deal.

Here's a pic . . .

Ed and anyone else, We really are never sure of the heritage of our cars up to the day that we actually know the car. Ed I don't think that you have known this car very long, so you REALLY don't know for sure. This car was owned by my neighbor and I have driven it, and have seen it up close. IT IS A BEUTIFUL CAR with out question. I heard its history and I can tell all that the way you tell it is the same as I heard it. I am interested to see if the chip is still there. Here are a few pics of it in my driveway from a couple of summers ago. See you Sunday
Norwood

This car has been talked about on PY in the past...

Norwood:

I'm very sure of the heritage of this Firebird and have the complete owner history. As you stated, you heard what I stated. I purchased the car from your neighbor and I told him last year that it would be at Bloomington. I hope he attends. It's a great car and I touched up the chip in the paint. Ed

I think the first ever Bloomington Gold All Makes Survivor show was quite a success. It was nice to finally meet many members from this board and Performance Years. While they gave participation certificates to everyone who attended, some cars were singled out in recognition of outstanding preservation. The judges did a sample review of the vehicles that were present and David Burroughs and Keith Martin were the hosts. I thought it was a great day and a good start to this much needed event.

The good news is my Formula received one of the Recognition Certificates and David Burroughs, amongst others, told me it was a "no brainer". Thanks to every one who stopped by especially Steve Shaugger. Ed
