Interesting observation Colin.

Fact...The Yenko site has been up and running for over 10 years, and in that time, the folks who have made the most profit by utilizing this site have contributed the least to its' upkeep. Some of the club's best supporters have never listed a car for sale on here.

We have looked at changes in the way we operate, but so far nothing that we feel is fair to all, and at the same time best for the site. We are always open to suggestions.

Until we can come up with something different, I would encourage members to only support our sponsors and other members.

LOL! For what it's worth, that comment was not directed at you, but if the shoe fits...

Man, I'm going to have to work a lot harder at my "dealer" status. The last car I sold was in March 2007 (black '67 Z) and the one before that was April 2006 (blue L79 Corvette). Two cars in two years...no wonder we're eating Kraft Dinner every night However, I am flattered that you have taken such an interest in me

Now play nice before you have no sand boxes left to play in again

I have been arguing this for a few years now. The guys who drive me nuts all have the same M.O.:

1. Not paid members.
2. Post in Classifieds trying to sell a high priced car or part.
3. Never post in other threads where someone is asking for help or information.

At the end of the day, it's all about them.

I dont mind if the car sells, because I too have a spot in my stable next to my GT Like MR.COLLIN.
Collin (NOT BASHING) but what did you pay for yours? Are you locked in or on a if come maybe list like most. This car is not an if, not a maybe, and its for sale. The rumors of production are exactly that... RUMORS. The floor is yours.

Hi Bob (aka SUPERSPORT),

Thanks for your concern about my KR. It is a confirmed order through Ford's VIP program. I am sure you are familiar with this as you are a dealer, correct? I will be getting my car 2nd qtr of 2008 at MSRP delivered through the VIP program at my local dealer. As you know, Ford is very particular as to who gets these deals and in return for this they have buyers sign a "no flip" agreement stating they will keep the car for a minimum of 60 months. That's 5 years. So until at least 2013 I will have a KR in my garage. If you remember the Ford GT VIP program requested only a 24 month hold, which I passed January of this year. But I have no plans to sell that car either.

Sorry to interrupt your war with Chuck and Frank

Oh, and I agree with everybody here - you should consider making a HEALTHY donation to the SYC. You run a ton of ads here and I don't see you posting that much in other forums than the "cars for sale" one. As you know, I am also a dealer and I bet I haven't posted more than 5 cars for sale in at least as many years here on this site. But, I enjoy this site so much and appreciate what it does for our hobby that I choose to SPONSOR it which costs far more than the $25.00 minimum donation. I am sure the Clarys would LOVE to have Extreme Classics on board as a sponsor, you'll get a nice little banner ad and your own forum. In no way as this meant to be critical or an attack, just an observation from somebody who has been watching this thread unfold.

I would also suggest the same for fellows like Patrick Krook who frequently post cars for sale here and do quite well using the SYC board to advertise and happen to be dealers or brokers. Maybe a minimum $100 donation per car sold via SYC or something?

If you notice, the two dealers who actually sponsor this site (Nickey Chicago, Stefano Bimbi; and myself) are the two guys who have the most to sell but post the least. Kinda odd, don't you agree? We also post reguarly in other sections because we live, eat and breathe musclecars and consider this place a second home at times.

Just some food for thought.

Best regards,
Colin

Good info. Colin, Good ideas as usual. The VIP program is interesting and makes it even more crazy to buy a KR for 50K over invoice, knowing that, whoever spends 50K over invoice is kookoo. IMO.

You and I are just both poor farm boys, Why you pickin' on me? Look to the left Colin (spelled one "l" Supersport, like colon). I've been a donating member for a few years now. As for board sponsorship, sign me up! I've inquired a few times.

[ QUOTE ]
For the record. NOT one car has been sold through the site.

[/ QUOTE ] Not a good way to go Supersport...this is about an attitude of gratitude. Without this board and the people who contribute to it, I wager there would be fewer people seriously looking to pay "house in the suburbs" money for a YENKO Camaro.

Supersport, you have no reason or excuse not to at least be a member.(its the same price as a pizza and a six pack) all of the reasons stated hear are so true.
You only use the site to list what you have for sale.
The comment you have never sold anything is really lame. I will have to call auto trader, the Chicago trib etc to get a refund for the ads I paid for but the item didn't sell.
