More of my pics from today.....what a crazy busy day it was.
Bruce.....you should be here with us. John Diekema`s Beautiful Documented Frost Green 300 Deluxe SS 396 L78 Post Sedan.... John came all the way from Iowa. The car was ordered without the wheel trim rings...   The N.O.S. Restoration display  Don and Rick do nice work. Don debuted his LS1 transpant 70 El Camino. Don along with Peter wins the cleaning the car all day award.  Dan`s Burnished Brown L34....an added bonus he is the original owner...   Pat`s Lemans Blue L35....I bet next year you`ll see Pat sporting an original shifter and correct floor mats....way to go Pat   Dan.

Wouldn't trim rings be standard/mandatory with the SS package, or did they not come standard on the "cheapie" SS post cars?

Standard SS package did incluce the trim rings, however the original owner chose not to have them. If one could order -- paint, then asking to not install trim rings on any car...would be a no brainer.... JMO. Dan.
