Logged in this morning, only to see "no new post" bulbs lit, which I knew was BS 'cause I hadn't been on since mid-morning yesterday...so I logged out, then immediately logged back in, and PRESTO, all is well...is that how it's working for anyone else?

I think your earlier guess about network routing is probably the culprit, Bud...cable modem, I assume?

Cable is susceptible to lag during high peak hours, not only from internet traffic but also television traffic...you said it's slow around 7 or 8pm, which is primetime, which makes sense as to *why* it slows.

As for the refreshing/post read problem, I'm still digging...

I noticed something else a little unusual last night;

Previously, when I clicked on an attachemnt in a thread, when I clicked my "back" button to return to the thread, it would automatically default me to the very last post of the thread even if the post I was just reading (the one with the attachment) was several pages before the end of the thread. (hope that made sense, hard to explain that clearly)

Now it's not doing that, it's returning me back to the post with the attachment. That part of this mystery glitch I don't mind so much.

Eric
