Steve, It was my pleasure to help with this anyway I could and even better this 68 DANA found a VERY GOOD place to call home. Brian was all over this car and cant wait to get it back and return her to her full glory. As for me, it was a long two years and man am i glad its over. Well almost except for the shipping.

I have a letter out to a person that matches the name on the pink slip hoping its the same person and that they will have further stories about the car and Pictures from back in 68/69 when they owned the car.

I think Brian knows how I first felt when I saw the car when he saw it yesterday. Really takes you back.

Very Cool!! Good job, Jeff!! Glad the owner had the presence to hang on to it all these years and keep it relatively protected. It will now get the restoration it deserves. Congrats Steve.

Congratulations on a great car Steve. Jeff, how were you ever able to keep this quiet and not post "hints" on line. Too tempting. Nice of you to pass it on to Steve.

Steve, if interested, here is a link to State Inspection decals. Of course the '69-70 are the ones that are missing but it states that he will make new ones if he has good examples. Just a thought if you wanted to retain some of the history.

State inspection decals

Very cool!

WOW - What a find! Hats off to you all!

I find it quite interesting that Dana would use a SB SS for a
427 conversion. So many things were different between the
two drivetrains. Had Dana used any other SB's for conversion?

That gave me goosebumps reading that.

I can't begin to imagine the thrill of uncovering something like that which has been in hibernation for 36 years.

Awesome...absolutely awesome.
