Yep. Good luck with the Joel thing.
I have a X66 car like this. Joel paid $$$$, not a Motion car, but a Baldwin bought car. No paperwork and will not return calls. ![]() Big difference between Rosen and MacNeish, heck Jerry even left his cell phone number on my voice mail so that I could catch him! That's how you run a business in my book.

[/ QUOTE ] I sure there were many Baldwin bought cars back then----But if there was no go or show work done by Motion, I would think Joel wouldn't have paperwork on the car--In any event as Rick pointed out you can always reach someone at the 1-800 models number--Sometimes Joel answers or e-mail them.... ----------Joel was even busy back went, but when you got his ear on a tech problem, he'd go out of his way to help you out...I still find this to be true even today with his new hectic schedule............ |

"That may be the catch of the day?"
Don't put your fishing poles up just yet. The stamp was found at the machine shop AFTER the engine was assembled, ready to put on a "break-in" stand..... m |

Okay I'll bite, the EBAY add has the back of the block painted, but the picture with the flexplate is not, which one is the before rebuild picture?

Just wanted to clear up matter of flex plate picture. The one lowmile attach was the one I emailed the day I found out it was stamped at the engine rebuilders shop. I was excited and could not wait to send lowmile a pictue. The ebay ad was when I brought engine home and took some pictures in my shop on engine stand. When I took engine to machine shop I left all the original flyweel and bell housing at my shopso it would be safe.

Wayne NJ is only about 50 miles from Baldwin New York. That put the car in a prime area to be worked on at the Motion shop. Also I wonder if dealers transfered cars much in those days? If Baldwin needed a car to sell, that's pretty close. Would the NICB report show a dealer transfer or just show the original dealer? It will be interesting to see Joels info. m
