Here some photos from the Englishtown FAST car show and drag race. I brought out the hemi Charger and made a couple passes. Unfortunately, I'm not legal for the stock or FAST class due to the dealer installed headers and rims and I had to run in the modifed class with everthing under the sun. First run was an "up in smoke" 14.20 @ 101 mph. Two hours later (after some guy in a Comet oiled down the track) I made a second run and just idled it out of the lights and eased it into second gear and stomped on it in 3rd. It ran a 13.80 @ 105 mph. Not bad for street radials and a rolling weight of 4302 pounds. At least I beat the Buick GS I was racing.

And here's the rubber to prove it:
![]() It's kinda sad that the majority of the people looking at the cars there wanted to know what a particular car is worth before they ask anything else about it. My how times have changed. |

BBBenny's 69 COPO, Cortez Silver with blue interior. Beautiful car, even if he wouldn't run me.

Steve, I'm pretty sure the Trans-Am RAV III was my freind Steve K. I have not got a chance to see it in person, but I restored the belts for his car
He told me after he did not run it for insurance reasons. He took 1st in the TA NATS last year with that car. I have to talk to him about the TA RAV IV. Wish I could have made it, maybe next year. Nice pics, Thanks!
