Whitetop,
The car was purchaesed from the original owner (James ...) by a freind of a freind.
He only had the car a month & wanted the Pro-Street Vega I was driving at the time.
Since I was looking for a little heavier car then, (the Vega was a Super Gas car I put on the street
& was so light that things broke at every pothole),
& he wanted to go racing, we swapped rolling chassis.

Have to ask about the mirrors, who installed them.

That would be me.
When I got the car the mirrors were filled &
so was the cowl & rev. lights ( did I metion this was a race car?)
I always liked the later model mirrors, so, there ya go.

Yes Joe, it is the original paint. I can't believe it either.
Here is a picture (of a picture) when I used to street drive & show the car back in the late 80's early 90's.
I worked for a dealer, so I got tags to drive the car to the shows when I needed.

Do you have any plans to return the car to stock or are you leaving it as a Pro-Street car? It looks like there has been considerable money invested in it but, being it is a real Motion Camaro I would think it might be worthwhile to restore it. (Just my opinion)

Looks like it would be a substantial amount of work to put it back to original condition. Right now looks like Mike is having fun with the car just the way it is and he's already got the docs. to prove its heritage. If it were mine I'd have fun with it for awhile the way it is but at the same time be hording away parts as they come along to return it back to the way it was in early 1969

I just need a doner car for the
firewall/floor/chassis. The rest of the body
& interior is mostly original.
I still have the cluster, glove box, rear panels, etc.
I got a lead on an 67/68 427 4blt block & 3 bbl carb.
I have the original 427 intake for it....BLAH,BLAH,BLAH
