Saw two great 67 Z's race at Road America last weekend.
The 302's were pulling 8400 RPM with 4:11 gears on the front straight. Ed Jensen and Jim Bradley were the owners, nice guys and beautiful cars. Jim lost his motor on Saturday and was out of Sundays race. |

Here in Seattle, at the Vintage Races held over July 4 weekend, they had a Vintage TransAm class with 22 cars registered, 5 of which were 67 Z28's!! Some nice 68's too including the Penske car and Smokey Yunick's car.

Got to love those high windin' 302's I hope to get out to the West coast some time to take in the vintage races. I'm stunned that these cars run given the value of them today!!!

It was soooo cool! The race I watched had a 67 Z28, a 69 Boss 302, and a 70 Challenger jockeying for the lead position, with one of the three taking the lead on every lap. The crowd was going nuts, Hollywood couldn't have staged a better race. Naturally, the 67 Z won in the end. To my surprise, the owner lives not 10 miles from my house.

Denis... If it was the Group I'm thinking of , the Race and Lead changes were staged. Not real Racing, just putting on a Show.
