John the suspension is original . The springs are probably just weak.LOL..

Not to be critical Mike, but the car does sit too low for those tires to look right on it. I also think these draw away from the look of such a nice original car. What I'm saying is...you found such a clean original car with a great "survivor" look to it and my thoughts are that the day II wheels on this particular car take away from that original look and the natural stance it had.

I know it's just a bolt on wheel thing, but the stock wheels suited that stance so much better. Like it was begging not to be altered?
