Assuming you are deciphering the markings correctly,(no need to think otherwise) I think you have something there !! But, I would definitely try and take a video..or have an authority look at the markings in person. I know the markings on my L-78 Indy that confirmed the M-22 were very difficult to read, but very present. Good luck with it !!!

i can see red and c08 vinyl top in yellow crayon, the other writing across the firewall is of a different style? the letters even look fatter? take some shots at different angles with and without sunlight.

I don't recall ever seeing any factory/production docs that refer to it as a L72.

If I would have faked the car, I had drilled the hole at the fuse box.
The things that are written on the firewall is not in Paint. it is rust.

She has X2, 427 m on the Fender extension, 9737 in the tunnel, 427 and L72 on the firewall and you are saying that it is not a L72 Car?

Its really hard to see much except the CO8. The 427 as noted looks like a Z21 to me. Its odd that 9737 appears in the tunnel?

Its also written 9561 before ORDE

K79 N10 M22

Top center after 52 RED looks like G84

are the front fenders original? maybe the date codes are still there also see if there is any emblem holes by the marker lights.
