It's not as simple as sticking a 400 in there if you don't have a 350. Different; cross member, output shaft, drive shaft, kick down switch. different front spring for the added weight, As common as the 350 trans were in those Novas I just don't see GM running out. But never say never. </div></div>

If it can be believed, the paperwork on the SS350 being discussed in this thread, says it has a TH400.

I think in the ad says it has a Turbo Hydromatic Transmission. I may be missing where it says it's a 400.

It does say M40 on the trans option.. That is T400 correct? And M35 was T 350 I believe.

Somewhere I have seen a discussion about the M40 designation as referring to the Turbo-Hydramatic transmission and not necessarily which one.

The only 70 Nova to come with a factory Th400 was the Yenko Deuce.

The paperwork on this SS350 states: OM40AB TURBO HYDRA-MATIC.

My 1970 L78 was built with an M40 TH400.....GM Canada documented.

M35 was Powerglide
M38 was TH350
M40 was TH400

Anyone know the rear ratio this Gobi came with?

The POP calls out [CRE] 350/300hp w/TH350 trans...

the trans code on the POP is YOM06...I can't match that up with anything I have.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/321504970936?ssPageName

simple solution to this...just have the guy post a pic of the tranny from the underside...that will settle it.

Wilma

**update..Nastyz28 site has listing for TH350 trans...Y = Toledo Plant TH350 Trans..

http://nastyz28.com/camaro/camaro70.html

as I said before...no TH400 with 350/300hp...only the Deuce
