I would love to be able to order some but the problem is dealers here are reluctant to order some for me thinking I will just want to return them when they won't work for me - and from my experience so far I have to admit I sort of can understand their reluctance. Anyone ever hear of this before? I sent a couple of emails to AR requesting some feedback regarding this- but never got any replies.. I would really like to get some - but because I live in an area where there aren't any places that stock any and only order in what is required by customers, there aren't many options to try very many other wheels other than what I have so far (they were ones that were already destined for customers). I'm not keen on the only solutions proposed to me - change calipers or have a machinist cut the back edge of the hub edge for clearance on a brand new set of wheels, so am I not anxious to get some I feel probably wouldn't fit unless I start changing things... Any suggestions? </div></div> <span style="font-weight: bold">realzed</span> check your private messages. I can tell you that no current American Racing TTO, T70R, or TTD will fit your front disc brakes. I ran into this problem and found a guy to help me locate the correct wheels. New Halibrands will clear the brakes and look like the old Torque Thrust D from the 60's. JT

Thank you (and others) for clearing some of this up for me and making me feel a lot more 'sane' again..
I've been told numerous times when I've asked about my wheel fitting problems - that "your calipers are wrong for your car" or "somebody has screwed around with your car and its not original" or the most common.. "what are you doing wrong to not be able to put a wheel on your car correctly" - from so many different sources.. As much as I feel better it still doesn't help the fact that I will have to probably spend more than I would wish and yet still not get exactly 'the look' I desire for my car, in order to achieve this.. Funny (mostly) part is: I spoke to a very nice and personable Zone Rep for American Racing at a route 66 race in Chicago a few years back and he, while offering me a fantastic deal on some wheels, offered no plausible excuse or reason why such wheels would not fit on my car with 4 piston calipers as I had described it to him - yet he was willing to ship me some immediately and agreed they would look amazing on a Z 2/8 model such as I had.. This was from him - "maybe you can find a machinist that would trim off a bit of the hub 'to get you on the road'" - this all pertaining to a new set of wheels he would sell and deliver to me, and AFTER fielding my fitment questions?!! There are indeed TTs that do fit the 4 piston calipers,they're just not cheap or easy to find. If you note on the blue car above, the TTs spokes have an inward taper just before they meet the outer rim, not much but maybe 3/8" or so. These also fit the C2 vettes and that's why they're so hard to find. I've got a set on my '66 vette and have been offered $1500 for the set........ain't selling them!
