Dave was interested in seeing pictures of the 1969 Berejik Olds 442 W-30 from the 1983 Oldsmobile Nationals in Itasca, Illinois. I thought others might be interested in seeing the car as well. Here are a few pictures of the Berejik Olds with the exotic headers along with a few of the other beautiful W-30s at the show. I got to know Olds collectors Phil Renouf & Ed Van Dril around the time of this show. Phil had the exquisite 1971 Matador Red & black W-30 convertible auto and Ed Van Dril had his beautiful 1972 442 W-30 convertible auto in white & black. They are both great guys!

I included a few good shots of the always lovely Linda Vaughn for all you nature lovers. I also threw in a couple shots of my 1969 Hurst/Olds which I had at this specific 1983 Olds Nationals, but I can’t find those pictures. It had 27,000 miles on it when I bought in 1982. I had just graduated H.S. I also included a picture of the traveling Olds hemi from the 1983 Olds Nats. Lastly I found a cool shot of the very rare LS-6 Chevelle convertible at a local show here in Chicago around that same time period. I was just a kid when these shows were on and now to think I’m an old man. Where does the time go? Thanks for looking - John Happy Memorial Day

----I believe you are correct, Bruce. I think Bob took off the "450hp" before he sold it. How many guys ordered a fairly loaded LS6 Vert new and opted out of the cowl induction option? I just cant remember seeing the "450hp" back in 1978/79 when I 1st saw his Vert, but it could have been there......Bill S
