The only consolation to the weekend was the time I spent yesterday at Central Illinois Dragway in Havana. The new management pulled out some stops with a true nostalgia day featuring the Nostalgia Super Stock guys and a Special Two-outta-three Match Race between the Midwest Legends: Arnie Beswick and Dick Messino. Great racing, superior showmanship, and as Tom said above, ... Good Times with Good Friends. To cap off the night, Arnie, Dick, and all the NSS guys filed past the crowd on the return road and saluted the crowd, with Arnie standing on the golf cart shouting, "Thanks For Coming Out to see us". That man is a Class Act!

Just a thought: SCR XV Nostalgia Meet, ...... Arnie & the Messino Gang and the NSS guys, ...... and 100 or so of the BEST SUPERCARS & Muscle Cars in the NATION? Sign me up now too!...the stars should align for me to make it next year with a new "summer beater"...

Kurt's chevelle is looking good to me with the quarter window stickers, slicks and the I drive this car around license plate. If that was a B+W of that car I would think it is 1969 all over again!

Jim,
It was a pleasure to meet you and your family. You are definitely the right person to own your car as you have cared for its originality the way I would.

Had a lot of fun meeting a few of the members here.
It was a nice show and I thought the weather was pretty decent for this time of year.
Thanks for posting the pics Dan and Kurt. Glad I could be of help on your carb Kurt.

Thanks for posting Dan - it was great to meet you finally.

Just getting back into town but we had an absolute blast - sorry that we had to go around 2:30 to make a baseball tournament in the Dells, wanted to hang around after racing but could not. Definitely worth the time we spent there. Great group of people, great track, great cars, and great fun. Can't wait for next year.

Thank you to the Clary's for organizing a wonderful event.

Jake

Thanks you Clary's for putting this event on! My son and I had great family time...... and I still went quicker than him in my car!(ha ha)We also enjoyed dragging the "evil bay" Deuce along for folks to look at. Ya, we'll be there next year!
