That is a nice find. The riverside sun baked her pretty good.

Can a headlight really last 40 years??

One of them is good and the other, well, it's not so good.

I pulled both motors and trannys tonight. Short story is the Nova's motor is worn, dried out and dirty and almost burst into flames. Long story is, the kid spent a gear/clutch in my Chevelle, he was using it while I went over the Nova. I am giving him my motor while I explore my transmission options.

I know the 65/50 on the firewall is the paint. what is the "M" ?

Okay, got the 350 in and running nice. Finished up the exhaust today and Mike did some touching up of the grill. Still trying to convince him not to paint it. We start the interior this week.

Still trying to convince him the interior is not that bad, and it's only original once.

I would keep it this way for a few shows. Not many people get to see a car this original, with original paint. Even if it has a bad sunburn. You can spray with wd-40 and wipe it down, to help keep the look without further rust progression.

Default 69 Nova Shoulder straps

I like spray it with WD40 !!

We started to yank the interior today. The original owner may have subscribed to the Italian myth that throwing change in the car is good luck. There were several pre 1969 coins that had very sharp edges stuck deep under the carpet. A few other items that I will photograph as we go along.

As for a second set of seat belts for the shoulder harness, there is no sign they ever existed. So the occupants had the option of using lap or shoulder belts, but not both ?

anyone? I won't reinstall the shoulder straps if that is the case.
