Don't know if this page has been talked about before, ( I can never find what I need using the search feature on here ), but it's a neat site. This guy has some great stuff and information. http://www.roadsters.com/wheels/

Here is one I have from 1969 with the dated instructions. Illistrations reflect this type of unit too. Note the older box.

This is so interesting. The early package I have that looks like yours, has the common type solenoid. However, the later package on the right, has a solenoid that looks more like yours. But it is not exactly the same. The one on the car is very cool.

What is real interesting is that I bought a line lock that was in a box (more of a black and yellow Hurst from the 1970s that looked just like the one you have on the right. The switch had a black button on it like that one appears and the solenoid did NOT say Hurst on it anywhere. It almost looked like an off brand re-packaged. I ended up returning it to the guy in the Auction because nothing said hurst on it, and I paid "Hurst money" for the thing on ebay. I highly doubt that somone would have done that twice, but yours does look that way a bit. |

You may have had an actual Hurst piece, because the one on the right doesn't say Hurst neither. I bought it from the original buyer.

That must be a rare line lock, and probably the only item Hurst never put its name on. Neat to have something different. |

Well... I was going to install the one on the left, but maybe I'll do the one on the right. Maybe we can get some more input on these.
