Finally have all 6 pieces of trim finished. It took me close to 18 hours to bring the trim back to usable condition.

I couldn’t have done this without this piece. Does anyone have an idea what it is? It’s not a small anvil it actually at one time served a purpose? My father got it thirty years ago. He thought to himself that may come in handy in the garage to beat on. LOL

Man you got it!!!!

My father was a boiler maker. One day there was all this old railroad rail in the scrap bin at work. So he cut a piece for the garage. What a handy piece to have on the work bench. I use it all the time.

My grand dad had one on his work bench from the earliest I can remember. He was a tinkerer deluxe. Used to make us rings out of nickels. Still have one around here somewhere.

One of my brothers got it when grand dad died in 1980. Still has it on his work bench.
