Hey Jack,

Sorry, did not see your response to my 'welcome' above. Good to have DE represented on the board here. It sounds like you are serious about getting into a big Chevy. Lots of U.S. Army around Bamberg to the north of you. You may try advertising your Lincoln up there. I have been to Nuremberg a few times. In the late 90's my family stayed on a nice farm (Urlaub auf dem Bauernhof) in Pleofen (middle of nowhere!) and did day trips to Thurnau, Bayreuth, Bamburg, etc. Beautiful region.

Hi Sam, nice to hear that. Crazy how small the world is...

Unfortunately only a few guys from the Army here want to own an American car. They all drive Toyotas, Hondas etc.

But should be no problem to sell it on our local market. Sold a few classic US cars before, took always 2-3 months. I'm not in a hurry . Now it's winter time and nobody buys a summer car... have to wait till March.

Btw, last year we visited the Army in Grafenwoehr with about 120 US cars, that was very nice. We were allowed to park in there and visited the "German-American Volksfest". All the Americans were proud to see how we take care of our "babies"

Sounds like you have a good plan Jack. We were in the Sauerland this summer on a friend's small farm with our boys and had a very nice time. Can't wait to go back.

Well beige isn't my ... favourite colour, but at worked it looked really shitty yellow-beige. The car is so gorgeous, I would buy it with any colour

Stopped at Puleras today after being gone for a week.....Here's what I found when I got there....They were just ready to get the car out of the spray booth.....Perfect Timing!!.....After getting the car out and removing the masking paper.....I spent some time looking at everything and determined that even though the top was new.......I can't leave it alone as the top frame assy is weathered to where I would not be happy with the end result......So.....when I get the body home this weekend......apart it comes....the Top frame will be sent to Strip-Rite for paint removal so it can be finished off to match the quality of the rest of the car.......This never ends.....LOL
The rest of the parts will be painted later in the week.....The gas Tank/Fuel assy will also be finished later this week......we have been so busy at the shop that my stuff always gets pushed to the back of the priority list....Soon Come.....

Looks like a good paint job. Can't wait to see the car finished.

Don't know if you already wrote that, but what kind of wheels will you mount on your beauty?
