Doug,
What brand of paint will you be using on this project? Will the original owner (Mr. Weaver) be coming to MCACN 2019?

Hey Jim.... yes as far as I know it John Weaver is planning on being in Chicago this year .
The paint that we are using is Sikkens...it is a solvent based product. It has started with a epoxy primer then a polyester surfacer, then a urethane surfacer, after that ...The car will get 3 coats of color and 4 coats of clear . Since the car is all original sheet metal and we are not having any rust issues ... The finished product will be amazing...especially since Frank will be behind the gun. They are currently working on the firewall looking at all of the grease pencil codes. I will post pictures as soon as I can. |
