Wish it would have been restored to "Rat's Nest"
condition...

If the car would have been the "Rats Nest" from new, it may have been a consideration. But the fact it was a Fred Gibb/Dick Harrell super tuned 396 COPO Nova outweighed its racing configuration to the owner. It could always be returned to the Rats Nest..BKH

I was fortunate to be able to see the car at MCACN 2014 and I was able to talk to Brian Henderson at the display. The restoration is unbelievable and it was a joy to meet and talk to Brian too.

Excuse my ignorance but, what makes it a COPO car?

The 50 Fred Gibb COPO Novas were the very first solid lifer big block cars to receive the turbo 400 automatics. In 1969 it became a RPO...BKH

#118. This COPO Camaro was sold new at Ed Stinn Chevrolet in Cleveland OH. It is a double COPO car and is equipped with an M21 4 speed.

#119. This COPO Chevelle was sold new at Brewers Chevrolet in Capton KY. It has a blue interior with a console. It is also an M40 car and I believe it has a numbers matching drivetrain. It was featured in Muscle Cars Kings of the Street from the Golden Era. This is probably my favorite COPO Chevelle.

I know what you mean by probably? There are some really great '69 COPO Chevelles out there to like....My favorite is Fred Nolan`s former Frost Green COPO

#120. This COPO Camaro was sold new at Dale Chevrolet in Waukesha WI. This is a documented and numbers matching 4 speed car with a yellow hounds tooth interior and 30K original miles. This is the car I posted a picture of from the Car Craft Summer Nationals several months ago. It was cool to actually see it in person at MCACN.
