I have information (names of the previous owners) on two Deuces that I never followed up on because I bought my car.

I remember a forest green deuce from when I was in high school. I didn't know what it was at the time. I remember the stripes and sYc on the headrests, black interior. Unfortunately, the place was a salvage yard and the car was crushed. A friend of mine worked with the guy who bought the engine. It's now in a clapped out 74 Nova sitting in a field. I am trying to locate the guy with the engine now to see if he'd sell it.

Not sure what it was - as Deuces didn't normally get the sYc on the headrests. Was this the U-Pull it yard in Hazleton?

It was at a junkyard near Johnstown. I specifically remember the headrests, and later, the guy who has the engine told me all about the LT1. I think he gave like $300 for the engine.

I am going to be out of the loop before I even get in it! I would love to spray that Citrus Green! Keep the info coming.

[/ QUOTE ] Are you sure this was a small block LT-1 powered Deuce and not a 69 427 powered sYc Nova? You sure it was the dark Forest Green of '70 and not bright Ralley Green of '69? There is a rumor of a '69 RG sYc car to have been roaming the streets of Johnstown in the early 70s.
