the mailman told me, "If you hear helicopters overhead, it's because there are homing devices in those USPS buckets you stole!"

they sure are handy around the garage!

Great pix. This is FAR more interesting than anything on TV.

BTW, I'll take one of those autographed photos.........(but how did you train the car to write? )

Made some progress today while I was waiting for my sweetie to return home....got the fuel pump, water pump and smog pump installed. Forgot about the water pump fittings ....have to get a couple....the old ones have been in their since Tommy was a young man ...ran into a couple of other little things like: petcock on radiator doesn't work...just spins...I guess it's stripped...so off to the shed. By the way, those tower clamps are a pain in the ***....once there on for awhile they are tough to loosen up. Got as far as putting the 5 blade fan back on....next trip I'll try to button it up and then on to cleaning the disc brake hardware and more detailing.

and....original 837 going back in place. Does that self threading bolt look correct for the battery cable..??? also...does anyone know if this vintage Nova used the U shaped bracket to hold the heater hoses in place...I see it bolted to the alternator bracket in photos of other L78 engines.....can't locate my assembly book.

Is that exhaust manifold tapped for the smog tubes?

Yes it is...there are some flat head type pipe plugs in the holes...these are original dated manifolds from the car...they were in the trunk along with the smog pump when I bought it ...now all I need is the plumbing.
