Whatever it is it is different than it used to be. I used to use the back button and the page would be current.

Same here Charley If someone made a new post while I was reading one, I'd hit Back and it would be there.

It's definitely on the server end of things...I just reformatted and 'clean installed' WIN XP on Holly's computer...wiped everything clean...and I mean everything (with the help of Denis for a question or two )

After reinstalling WIN XP and hooking up the wireless internet...the first place that I went to was Yenko.net.

Had the same issues with not refreshing as I do on my computer. I also tried my neighbors computer and the one at work, too!

In your IE window...click on:

Tools-->Internet Options
Under "Browsing History", click on "Settings"
Under "Temporary Internet Files", where it says "Check for newer versions of stored pages" select "Every time I visit the webpage"...then click "ok". Close your browser window(s), then see if that doesn't help.

I'm gonna guess the security updates on the newer version are a little more finicky than the previous version...

My internet options are already set as such, have been since as far back as I can remember.

I just noticed something...I clicked on a link in one of the threads here just a few minutes ago, and when I closed out the tab from the link and backed out of the thread I was viewing, it showed up as read, like it used to do. No luck afterwards, though, still not showing threads as read unless I manually refresh.

When you mentioned security settings...are you referring to those on the site? (assuming it has something to do with the recent hacker attempt?)

Eric

Mine was set on " automatically" and I changed it to "Every time I visit the webpage" but it made no difference.

Hmmm...I'm not sure what the problem is then, because the update from 6.5.2 to 6.5.5 only closed some security loopholes, didn't change any of the functionality files at all? I'll keep thinking...

What time at night Bud? I think Rob & Co. may have the server set to back up around midnnight AZ time...

I've noticed tremendous slowdowns on page loading speed then...that is...when I'm able to stay awake that long...

All other times...it's quick!
