If this guy has "more rare big block stuff than any one I have ever heard about", why did he not realize his old truck had a ZL1 motor in it until he was in the process of pulling it out? He can't tell a ZL1 from an old truck motor if it has a coat of krylon on it? Maybe that floating Hemi is an aluminum block too... better check that out.

Remember when I was the only BS'er named Joey on this site?

Stranger things have happened. I've found 2 ZL1 bare blocks and 2 near complete ZL1 motors here in Ga. 1 was in a purple Chevelle with a set of Grumpy's heads that were off his '70 Camaro. The heads were reunited with the Camaro when sixtiesmuscle bought it.
Odder still was when X11 71 71 found the original engine to my BBrown COPO somewhere in the Northeast. The car itself had only been in W Va, Fla and NM.

I have a 69 Chevelle COPO (MP) motor that everyone said was impossible, cause they did not make COPO chevelle's at the plant where this engine was vinn'd from (Kansas). Now they have found some COPO's from that plant. The engine and stamp have been verified as authentic.

Again, you never know........

Although it is hard to believe that he did not know since the truck was his...unless he bought it that way....

I bought the original ZL-1 motor for my car(years prior to buying the car) at Carlisle swap meet on a Sunday afternoon after 3/4 of the vendors had gone home. I was actually p. o.'ed that I drove all the way there not realizing that everyone left Carlisle early.Anyway, the motor was completely painted orange so noone all weekend even paid it any attention. If it wasn't for my then 15 year old little brother mentioning that we just passed by a ZL-1 motor,I wouldn't have even noticed it. Once the owner fired it up on the little engine stand with the zoomy headers, every vendor left at the meet wanted to buy it...Thank God I already had bought it(assuming it ran).
....Maybe even a stranger thing is that I did not realize it was an "original with vin" ZL-1 motor for atleast 2 years after I owned it...Many professional dealers and persons way more expert than myself did not notice all weekend that it was a ZL-1 motor ...only because it was painted orange.

i believe ZL-1 # 35 or 36 was "found" just a few years ago with Z-28 emblems...the title apparently had a digit wrong on the vin, so the car was 'lost' in DMV for years so to say...and bought for a song..
What would you guys be saying if somone posted on here about some guy with truck containers welded shut full of big blocks, Copos and Yenkos??
So never say never...my point is that atleast the guy deserves a chance to prove his story before he gets totally trashed...time will tell...
