I understand it'll go back east to the original fabricator who worked on the car in 1969...he restored the car 2 years back.

It looks like Ron was the original bodyman, Checkout http://taperfresto.com look under "Penske Camaro" The hood is a work of art and anyone who could pound out and stretch a rear quarter panel on a 69 Camaro without welding is a metal god.

Great pictures of vintage race cars. Bummer about any car that was damaged. So how did the Dodge/Plymouth cars get away with running rear discs if it was never an option? Or was it an over the counter option on the AAR and TA cars?

Here's the pictures I took of your car Van...sorry for not stopping by,trying to get 3 guys in any one direction at a racetrack is almost impossible but I'm sure we'll hook up in Monterey.

I will be at both the Monterey Historics and the Pre Historics... Tested at Sears on Wednesday and got the fuel problem that plagued me all weekend taken care of. Just a matter of getting the set up dialed in and we should be real competative with the other IMSA cars at Laguna.. see you there John and thanks for the photos.

Thanks for the great shots, I hate to see those damaged cars, though. Hope many of those cars will be at Laguna Seca in August. I'm going to see my old June Sprints winning '64 Corvette race there.

SORRY........ NO TRANS AM RACE AT MONTEREY HISTORIC, LAGUNA SECA THIS AUGUST. The next event is SIR at Kent Washington on June 29-July 1. Then PIR at Portland, Oregon July 6-8. So all you Northwest people, get organized for a great TRANS-AM weekend.

I think you're thinking about the big wreck at Road America.
