According to Yenko's records, car #41 is associated with vin #241579, is a 4speed 450HP car, and was sold from Bermine Chevrolet along with #43 which was an a/t. (The records are a bit blurry, so the trans types could be vice-versa for these two cars).
It is quite unusual for a '67 car to have a door jam tag like that, they are usually seen on the the '68 cars.

The reason I put the 241579 # is Marlin is correct that would be car 41. Also the car I had was 241597 which was not on the 67 list but the 68 list. I talked to Warren about 241579. That's the # he at first thought was mine. I have never seen a tag on a 67 Yenko. If it's not 741 then why is there a tag with that # on it??

Bermine chev. is/was in the St. Louis area I think?
I'm not up on my stingers, but I think they might have used the tag in '67. Is it possible that this tag, if real, was originally used on a stinger? It's possible that these tags were used on some of the '67 Camaros, but I've never seen or heard of one

M,the tag say's Yenko Super Camaro...I like to keep an open mind on cars like this...but too many flags are up right now. What rear is in the car? Traction arm? Cowl tag? Where is the tag in the door jam? The rivots look wrong to me as well as the layout..I have found a bogus 68 tag before.....I think he needs to dig a bit deeper here....

Ok, I have a few questions because this is getting interesting.
1. Why does the tag say YS-7041 when the list shows the numbering using three places, for example 741? The 1968 Yenko is numbered just the list, I.E. 8025 is YS-8025. 2. Could you spell Canonsburg (correct spelling) again as you see it on the tag or get a better picture? In your opening post you said it was stamped "cannonsburg pa" with 2 n's. Could be a mispell on your part but want to make sure. As mentioned, flags are up on this. Never heard of a door tag on a 67 Yenko. ![]() Rick H. |
