391 4339 is correct for 67-68 Camaro. It should have handle 4106. The shifter might be stamped 4340, this is the number for the shifter without a handle. The installation kit is 373 4529. It's what I have in my 68 Camaro with Muncie and console. I plan on making a new handle in the future. I have a really messed up MUNCIE handle to use.

Peter, It's a Hurst Competition Plus from the mid 70's...so I might buy a new one also...

The one in the Chevelle is from 1970, the one in the Camaro is about 5 years old. The 70 shifter is much tighter feeling. Is there anyone around you that has a newer one to compare your old one to? Hurst will also rebuild the one you have.
