Joe gave me an Olds 330 motor around that time to tinker on and learn. He was always very knowledgable and generous with his time. I can remember one problem he overcame when I was at his place was when he raced the car at about 3/4 way down the track his hood scoop forced too much air into the motor and it would lean out and slow down(or something?). He fixed it in the pits with a piece of cardboard. Maybe you remember that? I think there's a chance we may have met back then because there was occasionally people over when I was there. I remember one big guy with kinda long blond hair and overalls I saw a few times around then. Did I mention I saw him on TV discussing Mercedes collision avoidance systems?
