[ QUOTE ]
I Bought Fonze's 31 Ford Hiboy from the show Happy Days This car set in his shop and worked on it all the time.

[/ QUOTE ]

Great find Kim! On this 31 Hiboy, what kind of documentation came with the car, since it was on Happy Days, and is a little bit different than a muscle car when it comes to paperwork?

Car builder Gene Wynnfield built the car for the studio.
The car sat in Fonzie's garage. it's the one he was working on, I don't think he ever drove it.AHHH

Many transport companies turn out to be just brokers. They take your money, usually, a low price, and then try to find a truck driver willing to transport your car.

I did a story last year about a company called "Moving My Car.Com", also called Southerland Auto Transport. Hundreds of complaints,.enough, so that the Feds indicted the owner Billy Southerland accusing him of violating several federal statutes. He was convicted in March of this year and sentenced to federal prison. The feds allege he took thousands of customers and shipped very few cars.

My advice, deal with the transport company directly and make sure they have federal licenses, insurance, bonding, etc. You'll pay more but you'll sleep easier at night. There are several large companies now, one I think owned by FEDEX, that are in the classic car transport business. Do your homework, after all, if you love your classic, especially the classics on this board, then paying for the right transport is really inexpensive.
