Some say Potaato, some say Potato, call it what you will, to me she is a land Yacht. The first time I ever saw that terminology was back in the seventies on a personalized plate that said LNDYACHT that was on a 73 Eldorado Drop Top in Bloomfield Hills Michigan, which is definatly a upscale neighborhood, that being the case that would make the Impala middle class, and my Biscayne poverty. The way the thing goes through 104 Octane it will have me poor in no time. I spent a lifetime trying to get the car from my neighbor, now that I got it I am not sure I can afford to run the BARGE! I don't think Mr.70 has checked the weights of a Belair/Biscayne lately ...he may want to put that bulky ,run of the mill red car on a diet !

I think Mr. Peters is going to have to bring his L-78 to an event (with a drag strip) and we bring our LY/Barges and settle this like men. When are you going to answer my PM?

Guys lets not kid ourselfs. Anybody with a 70 Chevelle SS is no lightweight. Why do you think that my license plate reads "hvychev"? I weighed my car at the track and it was just over 4,000 with me in it!!

SS427 Biscayne weight
Marlin, that would be hard to say since they never made one. However, an SS427 Impala will run in the 3900-4200 lb range depending on options. Biscaynes are going to be a couple of hundred pounds lighter. There is a spec sheet on this car on the Impala web site with weights for those who can't believe it. I would like to see the info on the cowl tag. Should have a 4D on it unless it is a doraville car, they did not put any info except exterior and interior color, they did not even denote convertible or vinyl roof. I had an SS427 convert. from there.
